Denzai appoints new managing directors for Singapore, Philippines, India and Bangladesh

Japanese heavy lifting and specialised transport company Denzai has appointed three new managing directors in Asia, effective 1 January 2026. These include:

  • Mike Siah as new managing director of Denzai’s Singapore entities: Denzai Huationg Pte Ltd, Denzai Huationg Logistics Pte Ltd and Denzai Huationg Resources Pte Ltd. He will continue serving in his current role as chief financial officer of Denzai International Holdings Pte Ltd.

  • Murugan Suburamanian as new managing director of Denzai Technologies India Pvt Ltd and Denzai Philippines Inc. He was most recently serving as country manager for India.

  • Omar Faruk as new managing director of Denzai Bangladesh Ltd. He was most recently serving as country manager for Bangladesh.

Mr Siah joined Denzai International Holdings in 2021 as regional financial controller, before being promoted to general manager in 2022 and chief financial officer in 2024. In this most recent role, he has overseen the financial growth of Denzai Group’s overseas entities, and assumed responsibility for its financial strategy and governance.

“Denzai Huationg, Denzai Huationg Logistics and Denzai Huationg Resources each play a vital role in delivering integrated crane, heavy lifting, transportation and concrete pumping solutions to our clients. By strengthening coordination across these businesses, we will further enhance operational efficiency, safety and service quality,” explained Mr Siah.

“Singapore remains a key strategic hub for Denzai’s overseas operations, and I look forward to working more closely with our local teams to build on our strong track record, support our clients’ most demanding projects, and drive sustainable growth in the region.”

Mr Suburamanian joined Denzai in September 2020, initially responsible for the company’s work on the Vietnam Ham Cuong 2 project. In 2021, he led the establishment and operations of the newly-opened Denzai Technologies India, before being named country manager/director in 2023. In this most recent role, he assumed full responsibility for Denzai Technologies India’s country operations, business strategy and market expansion. Under his leadership, the company expanded from a pure crane rental model to an integrated transport, crane supply and installation (TCI) services platform.

Prior to joining Denzai, Mr Suburamanian had significant experience in the heavy lifting, transportation and wind energy sectors, including leading work across major wind projects in the Philippines. On his new role, he emphasised that “my focus will be on driving sustainable strategic growth, strengthening partnerships and delivering long-term value for our clients and stakeholders as we expand into new and emerging markets.”

Mr Faruk joined Denzai in March 2018 with the establishment of Denzai Bangladesh, the first overseas subsidiary of the Denzai Group. As country manager and director of Denzai Bangladesh, he has led the growth of the entity through multiple national projects in the infrastructure and power plant sectors. He has overseen the growth of Denzai Bangladesh into one of the country’s top heavy lifting and transportation companies.

“Since joining Denzai in March 2018, I have been fortunate to grow alongside the company through different leadership roles. Going forward, I look forward to working closely with our team to further develop Denzai’s presence in Bangladesh, support sustainable growth and contribute to the company’s global vision,” said Mr Faruk.

“We are pleased to announce that Denzai Group’s overseas businesses are projected to achieve consolidated revenue growth of more than 30% year-on-year in the fiscal year ending March 2026,” shared Kohki Uemura, president and CEO of Denzai. “This achievement is the result of the tireless efforts of our local teams in each country and the trust our customers have placed in us over many years, for which I would like to express my sincere gratitude.

“As our overseas operations enter a new phase of growth, and in order to build a stronger and more sustainable management structure, I have decided to entrust the role of managing director of our overseas subsidiaries – previously held concurrently by myself – to senior executives who have demonstrated both proven results and the trust of their teams.”

Mr Uemura said he will now focus more intensively on the management of Denzai’s other overseas subsidiaries as well as his responsibilities as group CEO, dedicating himself to mid- to long-term strategy and global collaboration. “Working closely with each managing director and our executive leadership, I will continue to drive the next stage of growth for the Denzai Group with determination.”
