Liebherr has introduced its rope-suspended leader combined with the H 10 hydraulic hammer, an efficient solution for driving free-standing piles, both vertically and at an inclination.
This rope-suspended leader with the H 10 hydraulic hammer enables piling applications to be carried out without the need for a specific piling rig, as it can be mounted on a wide variety of cranes, including duty cycle machines. Operators benefit from a significantly expanded range of applications: piles can be installed even at greater distances or behind obstacles, which is particularly advantageous in marine and port construction.
With a combined weight of 27 t, the leader and hammer can be easily placed over the pile, and work can begin immediately. The system is suitable for piles weighing up to 30 t, with a maximum diameter of 1,220 mm and an inclination of up to 1:3.
Thanks to its modular weight system, the H 10 hydraulic hammer is optimally adapted to various piling requirements. In accordance with its designation, the maximum piling weight is 10 t. The sound power level of four simultaneously operated Liebherr hydraulic hammers is the same as that of a single conventional hammer without noise reduction – a clear benefit for the environment and working comfort.
In addition to its noise-reducing design, the H 10 features an efficiency rate of 95%, meaning it transfers virtually all of the impact energy to the pile. The hammer model is also compatible with the Liebherr LRB and LRH series of piling rigs.
By utilising the carrier machines already available at the customer site, the rope-suspended leader with the hammer is a cost-effective solution that can be installed with minimal effort. Liebherr supplies a stand-alone control system for third-party machines, offering customers maximum flexibility and an efficient approach to demanding piling work.
