The first World of Safety & Health Asia (WSH Asia) Awards are now inviting entries. The ceremony for the awards is scheduled to take place on 27 August 2020 at Suntec Singapore, in collaboration with OS+H Asia 2020 - the region’s biennial exhibition for all involved in workplace safety and health.
The awards not only recognise organisations that have invented new and innovative safety & health solutions, but also aim to provide an opportunity for busy safety professionals to learn about new or innovative solutions in the industry.
All awards entries will be evaluated by a renowned panel of judges from Asia, who are also the industry experts. They include:
1). Ir. Dr. Vincent Ho - 52nd president of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), and also founding chairman of Hong Kong Association of Risk Management and Safety.
2). Bernie Doyle - president and chairman of the board of National Safety Council of Australia (NSCA), and also secretary general of Asia-Pacific Occupational Safety and Health Organization (APOSHO).
3). Victor Kwong - president of Hong Kong Federation of Occupational Safety and Health Associations (HKFOSHA).
4). Dato (Dr) Kanagaraja - president of Malaysian Occupational Safety & Health Practitioners' Association (MOSHPA).
5). Bernard Soh - president of Singapore Institution of Safety Officers (SISO).
Entrants are eligible to submit up to three products or services. The launch of the product(s) must fall within the first quarter of 2019 and 30 June 2020. Once the entry form has been completed, it will be collated and reviewed by the appointed independent judges. Deadline for entry submission is 15 June 2020, and finalists will be announced in July 2020.
According to WSH Asia, to ensure the non-commercialisation of the awards, there will be no fee required to enter the awards. Expenses for the award ceremony will be raised through sponsorships from the industry.
WSH Asia is currently seeking official sponsors to make this event a success. The event will offer a chance for the sponsors to showcase their commitment in recognising excellence and innovations in the occupational safety and health industry.
WSH Asia is founded with the purpose of gathering safety and health information for the benefit of every individual. The organisation provides a platform - by curating safety & health solutions and information – which allows any individual to easily access safety and health solutions available around the world, thus keeping them safe.
