Rubiera, Italy – Italcer, a design hub in Made in Italy ceramics, received the top 100 Outstanding Italian Companies award (100 Eccellenze Italiane) at a ceremony presented by the journalist and TV presenter, Alda D’Eusanio, which took place on 1st December in Rome, in the Sala della Protomoteca at Campidoglio palace, for having contributed to Italy’s socio-economic development.

This initiative, promoted by the LIBER association in collaboration with the Rde publishing house, involved 100 leading lights from the Italian economy, selected from companies and organisations, which have helped add value to Italy around the world through their work. This event, supported by the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers and other Ministries, took place in front of high-profile figures and Ambassador Pasquale Terracciano, the Director General of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, who was chair of the Honours Committee.

This award is recognition for the path taken by the Italcer company, which in just 5 years has built a Made in Italy ceramics hub founded in 2017 by Alberto Forchielli (with the MCP fund) and Italcer’s CEO Graziano Verdi, which by merging high-end ceramics brands has become a leading player with forecast consolidated revenues of €360 million in 2022 and more than 30 percent organic growth over the last three years.

When collecting the award, Graziano Verdi, the CEO and Co-founder of the Italcer Group, explained: “Being selected among the top 100 Outstanding Italian Companies that have contributed to Italy’s development makes us proud to represent Italy and its creative capacity. We are building a leading ceramics group in Europe that combines top brands and long-standing industrial companies in the sector, while investing in industry 4.0 and in increasingly sustainable and cutting-edge production processes. We recently launched our patented Advance technology onto the market, a ceramic with antiviral, antibacterial and anti-polluting properties, and acquired the major Spanish company, Equipe Cerámicas, a specialist in extra small formats, and the Italian company Fondovalle, a leader in the production and sale of large slabs for contemporary design and architecture. The challenge now is to further strengthen the group and to make it even more competitive internationally”.

The Outstanding Italian Companies awarded were chosen based on criteria relating to historical accreditation, reputation, growth, innovative features, awards received, international standing and social responsibility shown, including the sustainability of organisations, processes, environmental impact and human interaction. This is confirmation again for Italcer of its commitment towards issues of innovation and sustainability, an area in which the company invested over €10 million in 2021 in order to meet the needs of an increasingly green clientele.

The Italcer Group, a leading Italian group in the field and a subsidiary of investment fund Mindful Capital Partners, now has 1100 employees, hundreds of projects completed, and 15,000 customers worldwide. Today it operates through high-end brands and long-standing industrial companies in the ceramics sector that produce high-quality products for interiors and exteriors, including: Fondovalle, La Fabbrica, AVA, Elios Ceramica, Devon&Devon, Ceramica Rondine, Cedir, Bottega and Equipe Cerámicas.
