The 47th International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors’ Associations (IFAWPCA) Convention is set to open on 7 April 2025 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Singapore. Hosted by the Singapore Contractors Association Limited (SCAL), the event will run until 11 April.
As part of the convention, there will be a forum and exhibition on 9-10 April with the theme ‘Embracing Construction of Tomorrow’. This session will explore four key topics driving industry transformation: Urban Resilience & Coastal Protection, Green Financing, Construction Technology, and Sustainability.
The two-day forum and exhibition will bring together construction professionals, business leaders and government officials to address industry challenges, uncover business opportunities and showcase the latest trends that are reshaping the built environment. While the forum will gather industry experts to discuss critical issues, the exhibition will feature cutting-edge solutions. Additionally, delegates will have the exclusive opportunity to participate in technical site visits, offering firsthand insights into groundbreaking construction projects.
IFAWPCA comprises the fraternity of builders from several member countries and regions in Asia and Western Pacific. These include: Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Korea, Japan, Mongolia and Maldives.
The organisation plays a critical role in promoting international fellowship and cooperation; in developing beneficial relationships between governments and contractors in the region; and in establishing cooperative working arrangements in the furtherance of civil and building construction projects.
